Who We Are: Protecting Mississippi’s People and Planet
Who Are We?
About Environmental Advocates Mississippi
Environmental Advocates Mississippi is a grassroots nonprofit organization (currently in formation) committed to protecting the health, environment, and quality of life for residents across Hinds and Madison counties, including Jackson, Ridgeland, and surrounding communities. Our mission is to stand alongside homeowners, residents, and local stakeholders in opposition to harmful developments along West County Line Road that pose serious health, economic, and environmental risks.
We work to amplify the voices of those most impacted by pollution, overdevelopment, and environmental neglect. As community members, taxpayers, and neighbors, we believe everyone deserves clean air, safe water, green spaces, and thriving neighborhoods free from the threats of industrial encroachment.
Our advocacy focuses on:
Protecting public health from pollutants and hazardous developments
Preserving ecological balance and green infrastructure
Defending property values and local economies
Safeguarding the quality of life for families, churches, and businesses
We are united in our vision of a sustainable future where economic development does not come at the expense of environmental justice. Whether you’re a concerned resident, faith leader, homeowner, or ally, we welcome your voice in the movement.
Together, we are reclaiming our right to a healthier, safer Mississippi.

People First
We center the voices and well-being of local residents in every decision we make.
